ELEVATE IS GOING INTERNATIONAL

Our first international trip will be to San Sebastián, Spain. San Sebastián is a resort town on the Bay of Biscay in Spain’s mountainous Basque Country. It’s known for Playa de la Concha and Playa de Ondarreta, beaches framed by a picturesque bayfront promenade, and world-renowned restaurants helmed by innovative chefs. In its cobblestoned old town (Parte Vieja), upscale shops neighbor vibrant pintxo bars pairing local wines with bite-size regional specialties.

In addition, San Sebastián has over 70 years of history with its judo schools. With over 400 judo students currently training within their judo stadium (their dojo makes ours look tiny!), judo plays a part in the curriculum within their school systems. You will meet many people within the city who have done judo at some point in their lives. It truly is remarkable. With a strong background and judo history, San Sebastián is also a growing hub for jiujitsu. High-quality clubs, like Stealth BJJ, are developing rapidly and professionally.

Being invited by both the judo and jiujitsu cultures in San Sebastián, Spain, offers an incredible opportunity to participate in a long-standing tradition and culture of Basque judo while also participating in the beginning stages of the rapid growth of jiujitsu within the area.

Dates, prices, schedule, events and length of stay will be determined over the next week or two. Our goal is to offer an amazing experience for both adults and youth students, as well as their family members to enjoy all that San Sebastián has to offer.
