Youth Leadership Development Cohort $2,000

We have received requests to offer classes beyond the mat for our youth students. Additionally, we have received several calls from non-student parents looking for programs to help their children learn how to increase their confidence and combat bullying at school. Growing up poses new challenges today, unlike what we dealt with as kids. Cell phones, social media, and all sorts of texting apps and viral videos play a part in the development process for today's kids. How do we help with this?

One way that we offer assistance is through our judo and jiujitsu classes at Elevate. And for many kids, these classes hold immense value. However, we are seeing the need to offer more. So much of what we strive to develop at Elevate is to help our youth students become more likable, coachable, and an asset to their team/community. The reason for this is multi-faceted, but to be over-simplistic, these traits allow students to garner the ability to make desirable friends and to garner more attention from mentors/coaches.

We are offering leadership courses for youth students. As we have found, leaders don’t get bullied. In addition, leaders develop a vision of where they want to go. Youth students who are working on their leadership capabilities aim for something. We want to help students find something they want to strive towards so all things in their lives can find an anchor point around meaning. Their struggles will be worthwhile as they know their energies are towards something powerful and meaningful.

This course will offer the following:

  • Leadership development

  • Time with mentors

  • Narrative and future planning work

  • Finding a vision

  • Developing the skills to combat and reframe negative experiences

  • Dealing with difficult people

If you want your child to join the upcoming cohort, please fill out the application below. Also, please provide their name, age, and current year of school.
